Dr Dark's Cave was another short walk I had planned. About 5klm return but a lot more up and down than I wanted but my knee stayed good and it was another easy walk with spectacular views.
First out to Govetts Gorge on the left fork of the Fortress Ridge Firetrail. Views here along the Carne Wall and across to Evans Lookout.
Way across the other side o the canyon, possibly Horeshoe falls?
Looking down at Arethusa ? Falls.
Then back along the firetrail and off a sidetrack to Dr Dark's Cave. Dr Dark was a Katoomba GP in the 1930's and 40's who used to come out to the cave for summer holidays.
