Durras Lake Trail

A short afternoon walk along the Durras Lake trail and then the late afternoon light at Depot Beach.

Hundreds of jellyfish blown into the shallows. Pushed a few of them back out to deeper water but before long they had beached again. 

Golden hour on the headland at Depot Beach and on Grasshopper Island 

Warden Head

A walk around and over Warden Head in Ulladulla. A low tide walk timed perfectly to walk around the rock platform under the headland and then up and around the headland on lovely well maintained tracks. A short walk of 5.5klm.

Parking at the car park on the south side of the headland I first walked south to a lookout at the end of Parsons St. with views out to the head. The track down to the unnamed beach was closed about half way due to erosion. Not seeing any other way down I continued and although a bit overgrown it was an easy walk to come out on the beach.

Timing the tide just right, the rock platform under the head was a nice pattern of shade and reflections

Once around the north side of the head a different vibe in full sun.

Another unnamed beach just short of Ulladulla harbour.

From here I climbed the track and continued along the top around to the lighthouse.

Sullivans Reef just off the Head

Then continuing on along the southern side.

Views down to Rennies and Racecourse Beach

And the ever present Pigeon House mountain 

Chain Bay to Square Head

A 9.8klm morning walk from the end of Maloneys Beach to the end of Long Beach at Square Head.

Missed the tide here by about 10 minutes. 

A short backtrack to a track over the top of the headland.

And back down to another small beach.

Then on to Long Beach

About half way along the beach I  took a detour to and then followed the track behind the foredunes.

On the way back I followed the clifftop path between the beaches.

Probably some of the best views on the coast from here.

And then back along Maloneys Beach to Reef Point
