Narrowneck Sunrise

Early morning after driving up after work and sleeping on the side of the road. Not much of a sunrise and no real colour.

looking across at Dogface and the landslide with Mount Solitary centre photo and Narrowneck coming in from the right.

Some nice light through the clouds as it lit up the valley floor.

Pool of Siloam

The pool of Siloam and Lyrebird Dell loop walk starts from Gordon's Falls car park in Luera NSW.

The lookout at Gordons Falls looking out to Mt Solitary and the cliffs leading out to Sublime Point on the left. The falls are tucked away in the corner and not picturesque from this angle.

Nellies Glen and Devils Hole Loop

Walked at Katoomba down Nellies Glen along the start of the Six Foot Track and into the Megalong Valley. Then returned on a rough track via Devils Hole which is a narrow cleft in the cliffs accessed from Cliff Drive Katoomba.

Therabulat Lookout in the Bonnie Doon reserve looking to the Megalong Valley.

Norths lookout, looking down Nellies Glen.

Looking up at the cliffline from the valley floor near where the route leaves the Six Foot Track to start the long steep climb to the top.

Small waterfall at the base of the cliffs near where you start the climb up through Devils Hole.

Looking through Devils Hole with the chockstone wedged in the canyon.

Looking back down to the start of the canyon.

The "chockstone."

An  arduous but worthwhile walk of 12klm with some steep up and downs taking its toll from my knees.

Minnehaha Falls

Minnehaha Falls at Katoomba. Last time here was in school holidays and I didn't make it down to the falls as there were 30plus kids at the plunge pool. This visit ,mid week on an overcast morning and I had the falls to myself.

First views of the falls from the track.

Coming down and along the cliff line on the track.

The double drop of the falls into a deep plunge pool. A pleasant change as most pools these days seem to be silted up due to erosion upstream.

Stitched panorama

Couldnt stop taking photos and used 3 different lenses for slightly different perspectives

Another panorama of the valley.
