Port Stephens

Saturdays trip to Port Stephens. Originally planned to walk across the dunes on Stockton beach to the Sygna wreck, but a big night out with my son left me searching for a shorter walk.

After a short drive down a 4WD section of road to Big Rocky just north of Samurai beach, we only had a 200 metre walk to the coast.

Spent 1 1/2 hours pottering around on the rocks and walking between Big and Little Rocky before returning to the Anna Bay pub for lunch.

After lunch we drove into Shoal Bay and walked up Tomaree. The first 2 photos look south to Zenith, Wreck and Box beaches and the Fingal Bay spit.

The last photo we look north to Yacaaba the northern headland at the entrance to Port Stephens.
