I had bought new kayak carriers for the car online with free delivery which was great. No effort, at a good price and delivered right to the door. But as we have been told "life is not meant to be easy" and one of the support arms was faulty. I had to return them to Matraville for exchange. Matraville is next door to La Perouse so a walk and some lunch lightened the load of this chore and wasted day.
Bare Island. The old fort, built to protect us from a perceived threat from the russians in 1885. It is only open at weekends but you can walk across to the island.
