Panboola then Waratah Gully Camp

An overnight camp with my new tent to Waratah Gully Campground in South East Forests National Park. Breakfast in Pambula, a pie from Wild Ryes Bakery. One of the nicest pies I've had in a long time.

Then a walk around Panboola, a community managed wetlands and habitat restoration project.

Superb Fairy-wren

Galah

Then off to Haycock Point in Beowa National Park

And then Haycock Point

Then off up the escarpment to Waratah Gully. Had the campsite to myself and spent a relaxing afternoon setting up the tent and reading.

A visit from a Grey Currawong

Next morning a short drive to Myanba Gorge

Then off to Bombala and a look at the Platypus Reserve.
Very windy here but a lovely stretch of river. There is a  kayak launch point from a beach so its on a list to come back.

A nice mini break and hopefully the start of many more.
