Todays walk on both the north and south breakwaters of the Hunter River at Newcastle.Train to Newcastle and then Ferry to Stockton to walk out on the North breakwater first. This breakwater incorporates some wrecks from late 19th and early 20 century into it's construction.

Pod of dolphins cruises past while waiting for the return ferry to Newcastle after a nice lunch and beer at the General Washington Hotel.
The belltower of the Customs House now a bar and function centre with a lovely fountain out the front.
