Thirlmere Lakes


Thirlmere Lakes National Park between Sydney and the Southern Highlands. A series of 5 lakes in an entrenched valley with little drainage or inflow. The levels of the lakes flucuate and have receded over the past decades.

Kooragang Wetlands. Picnic with my daughter and her boyfriend on a cold and windy day.Short walk on the Mangrove Boardwalk and along the Hunter River to Cobbans Creek.

Spoon Bay

Lunch after the coast walk on the rocks at Spoon Bay which is at the northern end of Wamberal Beach on the Central Coast.

Cromarty to Crackneck


Short walk from Cromarty Hill at Forresters Beach through to Crackneck Lookout at Bateau Bay and back. 1.5klm each way.

Stitched panoramas from the view at the start of the walk of Terrigal and The Skillion and then Cape Three Points.


Looking south over Forresters Beach from the hang gliding ramp near the start of the walk. 


The track continues through the heath on top of the cliffs.




Not many birds on a windy day. 

Bit early for the main wildflower display. A few Wedding Bush, Ricinocarpus pinifolius starting.

School Holidays and a busy day on the track and at Crackneck.

The crowds have come for this.
