Spoon Rocks to Pinney Beach

Went fishing at Pinney Beach in Wallarah National Park.

Spoon Rocks-an old breakwater built to allow deep water access for coal loading.

Pinney Beach is divided in two by a rock platform. This is the southern beach.

Lapstone to Glenbrook Creek

Walk from Lapstone Station along the Nepean River to Glenbrook Creek.

Glenbrook Creek flows into the Nepean.

After the walk drove through Glenbrook and out to Mount Portal lookout for a late lunch before picking my daughter up from her placement at Penrith School.

Devils Rock

Devils Rock is in Yengo National Park near Wollombi.
A quick stop on the way at Mangrove Creek Dam.

Mt Yengo

Devils Rock or Burragurra, is an exposed sandstone platform. In the dreamtime Biame stepped onto Mt Yengo from here,thus flattening the top, before he returned to the heavens.

Nortons Basin

Nortons Basin on the Nepean River at Wallacia just upstream from the Warragamba River. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mulgoa

Mulgoa, south of Penrith and a couple of short walks to lookouts over the Nepean River Gorge.
The Rock lookout, a short 500mtr walk from the car park in what is now part of Blue Mountains National Park.
