Wagga Wagga

At Wagga we stayed at Lake Albert. Once settled in at the BnB we rode around Lake Albert in the late afternoon sun. Nice parklands and a well constructed bike path for the 10klm circuit of the lake.

Over the next few days we made Wagga our base to explore the town and the surrounding countryside.
The Marrambidya Wetlands were full after the previous weeks flooding. Some of the tracks were yet to be passable after the floods.

Some birds in the wetlands.

White-winged Chough

Yellow Rosella (a form of the Crimson Rosella)

Australasian Grebe

Sacred Kingfisher

Wagga Beach. Again recently re-opened after the flooding. The river level was still well above normal and the beach narrower and higher than usual.

Nice gardens in the town.

The Botanic Gardens had a zoo area with a walk in aviary, so I cheated with these bird photos.

Zebra Finch

Diamond Dove

Wonga Pigeon

Peacock

Musk Lorikeet
