Mulgoa

Mulgoa, south of Penrith and a couple of short walks to lookouts over the Nepean River Gorge.
The Rock lookout, a short 500mtr walk from the car park in what is now part of Blue Mountains National Park.

 

Looking south from The Rock, not far here from where the Warragamba River joins the Nepean.

 

Rileys Mountain Lookout about 2.5klm from the car park, looking north past the Gorge to penrith and the Cumberland Plain.

Across to Euroka Creek which flows down from near Glenbrook.

Mulgoa Nature Reserve

Afternoon walk around Mulgoa Nature Reserve south of Penrith.
The reserve is in two sections and an hour walk in each section gave a good cross section of the reserve.

Typical woodland in the southern section.

Still cant resist a swamp/lagoon.

More birds and insects in the more open northern section.
A White winged Triller.

An orange winged dragonfly.

Bellbird.
