I drove out to Yagon campground in Myall Lakes National Park and walked up to Sugarloaf Point at Seal Rocks and back. A very windy day
Looking south down Submarine Beach from Yagon Gibber Headland.
Walking north over the headland was a little difficult with no real track and a bit of pushing through the scrub and a steep downhill to get to Treachery Beach.
A cleft and small beach on the headland
Looking down on Treachery Beach and north to Treachery Head
The lighthouse at Sugarloaf Point in the distance.
Walking the beach in the company of whales and Crested Terns
Treachery Head
Walking out on Treachery Head in the buffeting wind with views north to Sugarloaf Point.
And south to Yagon
Down on the beach for the last leg to Sugarloaf Point
The rocks under the lighthouse
Then climbing up to the lighthouse
The wind here was so strong at times I had to hang on to the railing to stand still.
Whales playing again.
Walking back into the wind was a real effort and for the last few klm I got off the beach and walked back along the road. 14klm all up.
On the way out I stopped for a few photos of Seal Rocks Beach.
One of the most picturesque parts of the coast.
