All packed and ready to go for a weeks holiday at a farmstay at Bawley Point when the phone rings at 6pm the night before. The hot water system had burst and they couldn't get a plumber out for 5 or 6 days. Too late to do anything that night we waited till morning and rang around till we found a holiday let in a townhouse at Batehaven. Not the early getaway we had planned and we didn't leave home till after 11. After picking up the keys and having a late lunch we went for a walk at Casey's Beach and around the rocks.
The next day was blue skies and fine and we went down to Broulee.
Broulee Island is joined to the coast by a spit and is a nice walk to circle the island around the rock platforms.
Later that afternoon after a fish and chips lunch we went out to Clyde River National Park where it clouded over and threatened rain.
Spotted Gum and Burrawang forest down to the waters edge.
The next day was a rain event with solid rain all day. Lazed around all day reading until late afternoon when it cleared enough to get a quick walk in on the training wall in Batemans Bay.
A perfect rainbow as the last of the showers went out to sea
