On the Way Home

Time to pack up and head home. First we drove out to Long Beach again and walked out on Square Head in Cullendulla Nature Reserve. A nice easy walk with views over Batemans Bay.

South to Sunshine Bay and Lilli Pilli 

Three Islet Point to the east. 

And the Tollgate Islands in the mouth of the bay 

Then down to Cullendulla Creek, this time from the eastern or northern side. 

Again Spotted Gum, Burrawang forest 

Then further up the coast for lunch and a walk at Monument Beach in Conjola National Park.

Deserted beaches 

For the whole week away the beaches were covered in Blue Bottles. I have never seen so many washed up in great drifts on the beach. It slowed us down on our walks as we couldn't stop popping them like naughty kids.

Caseys Paddle and North Head Walk

Another beautiful day and time for a morning paddle at Casey's Beach. Very calm in the bay but once out in the main bay on the way to Snapper Island a 2metre swell was evident. A nice even swell rolling in with no chop but breaking around the island made us rethink and we turned around and just played in the calm.

We then drove out to South Durras for a picnic lunch and some fishing. Not one bite or nibble but pleasant on the rocks watching the dolphins go by. 

Late afternoon we drove out to North Head and took the short walk out through the open forest to the lookout before walking down to the beach then along the rock platform under North Head.

Depot,Pebbly and Pretty

A day spent in Murramarang National Park at Depot,Pebbly and Pretty Beaches.

We then drove around to Pebbly Beach and walked up the coast to Clear Point and back. Another glorious day although a bit windy.

Then on to Pretty Beach and a walk out to Snapper Point between Pretty and Merry Beaches where we watched a few whales passing.
