Cape St George

A cold windy morning driving to these 3 places of interest on Cape St George. All short walks from the car.

Cape St George is in Booderee National Park on the southern peninsular of Jervis Bay.  The lighthouse was built in 1860 but at the wrong spot. Later, in 1898, they built the Point Perpendicular Lighthouse. After this there was still confusion in daylight so from 1917-1922 it was demolished by being used as a target by the Royal Australian Navy.

Stormy seas and very windy. I spent ages here just watching the surf.

Then on a little further south to Stony Creek.
