Showers today so a shorter walk had to be found. Stroms Lookout is less than a kilometre from the parking area on Wards Hill Rd at Killcare but this was too short so I walked from under the Rip Bridge at Daleys Point using the Fishermans and Daleys Ridge Tracks. This made it an 8klm walk.
Just a heads up if anyone else walks here; Bring your Mossie repellant. I must have swatted thousands while climbing up the ridge. A little better once at the top but still bad.
Once up on Daleys Ridge there are views The Broadwater to Kincumba Mountain
Spotted Gums,Angophoras and Burrawangs on the ridge.
Not many wildflowers out but the Crowea is in season.
Stroms Lookout with views of Hardys Bay, Wagstaffe and Ettalong.
Three photos from the same spot. The first from my Xiaomi MI5 phone in panorama mode, the second a stitched panorama from my Canon 70d SLR and the third from my GoPro.
The bar at Ettalong.
Across Booker Bay to Mt Wondabyne
Hardys Bay
Ettalong.
Only a few light showers while walking. The heavy rain came on the drive home.
