Picton Weir

A easy 11klm return bike ride along the fire trail to Picton Weir on the Bargo River.

Prophetic sign at the start, as I had good views of a platypus in one of the pools on the river.

The Bargo River at the start point at Noonemena Railway Bridge.

When bike riding you don't stop as often for photos and it wasn't till I got to the weir that the camera came out.

The lake behind the weir. I think there are tracks down to the back of the weir on the eastern bank from Bargo.

There was a few big caves in the steep gorge around the lake.  One had a natural bridge overhang.

Heading up the firetrail past the weir was very steep. I stopped here and didn't go on.
A narrow gorge for all the length of the fire trail.

The Bargo River where I saw the platypus.
