Beehive Point

Coffee stop at Bendeela Camping ground on the Kangaroo River. There is always wombats here and we were not disappointed today with at least two dozen grazing on the lawns.

Beehive Point is further along the road in Morton National Park on Lake Yarrunga. it is at the junction of Yarrunga Creek, which flows down from Fitzroy Falls, and the Kangaroo River.

A short walk down the old Timealong Road to Yarrunga Creek. Timealong Road was one of the original roads from the highlands to the coast and drops down through Meryla Pass.

The road embankment where it disappears into the flooded creek.
