Every time I have planned to visit Malabar Headland National Park in the last few years it has coincided with either bad weather or the park being closed during shooting on the nearby rifle range.
But perseverance will pay off and today I managed a walk through the park.
The park lies between Maroubra Beach and Long Bay and the track winds its way around Magic Point and then Boora Point before ending at Malabar Beach.
Maroubra Beach
Classic Sydney Sandstone cliffs
Magic Point
Old coastal defences
Boora Point
Malabar Beach
Tupia Head on the southern side of Long Bay
An easy clifftop walk of just over 8klm return from the parking lot at Maroubra Beach.
