The only paddle of the trip. A couple of hours on Lake Hume at Tallangatta.
Like most dams and lakes, a big open expanse of water. A little windy so I declined to paddle to the upper reaches of the dam at Old Tallangatta, which I would have preferred.
Drowned forest from when they flooded the valley.
Being watched in one of the bays.
Looking back at Tallangatta
High water levels with some recently flooded trees.
In the afternoon we walked from the farmhouse where we were staying, across the paddocks of waist high grass and down to Yackandandah Creek.
Property dam
Yackandandah Creek
Long shadows in the late afternoon.
Sacred Kingfisher on the creek.
Still being watched by the cattle. In this case some young calves
Another Sacred Kingfisher back at the house.
