An overnight kayak trip to Gentlemans Halt on the Hawkesbury River opposite Spencer. Starting from Parsley Bay at Brooklyn, a 17klm paddle against the tide. But what can you do, I haven't the time to wait for the tide to turn.
Coming back the next day 22.5klm with a side trip up the creek at Marlow and a detour to Bar Island, the half way point, for coffee and a snack. Caught the turn of the tide at Bar Island for an easier paddle back.
Coming up to the point on Long Island and the Hawkesbury River rail bridge.
Looking back at the rail bridge
The old highway and M1 expressway bridges
Lunch break at Bar Point. A messy stop, especially after the tide dropped and left me to launch through knee deep mud.
Looking upriver from Bar Point
