Taking the opportunity of a "spare" day before a night shift, I walked part of The Great North Walk from Hornsby to Crosslands.
Near the start of the walk on the Blue Gum Walk around Joe's Mountain at Hornsby is a nice area of Sydney Blue Gum forest.
Crossing of Berowra Creek at Fishponds.
After the next crossing of Berowra Creek some small cascades.
The Steele Military Bridge, one of only 4 left in existence.
Berowra Creek from the bridge
After crossing the creek again on the road bridge at Galston Gorge , a small waterfall on a side creek as the track climbs along the ridge.
Towards Crosslands the creek widens and becomes estuarine.
A shade under 15klm in just over 5 hours.
