Basket Swamp National Park

Basket Swamp National Park is in the north of the state near Tenterfield.

Upper Basket Swamp Falls. More a series of cascades.

Then a short walk along a fire trail takes you to Lower Basket Swamp Falls. 

West Head Beaches

Drove out to West Head in Kuringai National Park and started the walk from the Resolute picnic area.

Red hands Cave

The lookout on West Head. One of the best lookouts anywhere.

Across Pittwater to Barrenjoey 

Across Broken Bay to Lion Island and the Central Coast. 

Then down to West head Beach. 

Cabbage Palm (Livistona australis) in one of the steep rainforest gullies leading to the beach. 

Resolute Beach 

The view back over Pittwater from the ridgetop. 

Bass Point

Bass Point is south of Shellharbour in the Illawarra region of NSW.

Bushranger Bay is a deep narrow inlet popular with scuba divers.

Looking north over the orange lichen covered rocks to Shellharbour.

Kwiambal National Park in near Ashford in northern NSW not far from the Qld border

Lemon Tree Camping area home to dozens of kangaroos

The camping area is on the banks of the Severn River.

Walking along the river you come to the Dungeon, a deep gorge along the Severn. 

7 klm from the campground the Severn River joins the McIntyre River. 

McIntyre Falls on the McIntyre River.
