Bangadilly National Park in the Canyonleigh area to the west of Sutton Forest in the Southern Highlands.
No marked walks in this National Park but used fire trails and then a rocky trail to get to the top of Mt Penang. Surprised an owl on the walk in and hundreds of spiders and their webs across the track to catch the thousands of butterflies out enjoying the morning
An easy walk of about 4 klm to some panoramic views over the Wingecarribe River valley. A gentle climb to the trig point with views over the cliffs on the south east side.
Interesting dead and fallen trees amongst the exposed rocks on the top.
