Narawallee Creek

A short stay at a BnB at Narawallee Creek just north of Ulladulla.
The cottage was in the middle of Narawallee Creek nature Reserve.

An easy bike ride out to Buckleys Point in the morning

Then in the afternoon we walked out to Buckleys Point and did the loop down to Narawallee Inlet and back.

Looking north from Buckleys Point to Lake Conjola and Green Island

South down Buckleys Beach to Narawallee Inlet

Narawallee Inlet

Then back through lovely coastal forest where we had our lunch with Glossy Black Cockatoos having theirs in the Casuarinas above us.

Croobyar Creek runs into Narawallee Inlet

Full moon that night

The next day I walked back in the morning and fished for an hour or so. Didn't get a nibble. I was told that no rain for a while and the water is too clear.

We drove around to the other side of the inlet for a short walk to the point.

Looking across the inlet to yesterdays walk.

Always pleasant at Ulladulla where we had a coffee and slice for morning tea.

Stopping for a late lunch at Corramy Regional Park on Wandandian Creek which runs into St Georges Basin.

A little light shower here on  our walk along the creek.

Bundanoon Creek Wingello

Looking at Google Maps I thought there might be good views down Bundanoon Creek from the end of a fire trail at the back of Wingello State Forest.  The fire trail leaves the State Forest and enters Morton National Park. I was unsure how far I could get down the fire trail but the gate was open and a well graded fire trail led to a parking area just a couple of kilometres from the cliffs. I started off riding my bike but the road down is very steep and I walked the first bit and then left the bike at the second steep drop.

Looking down Bundanoon Creek Gorge at the junction with Nye's Creek

The cliffs at the far centre left of this photo are where I stood on my Caoura Ridge walk

Back near the start another steep fire trail led down to some rocks overlooking Johnstones Creek

Over the top of some interesting cliffs to Tuedts Hill near Bundanoon

Tahmoor Gorge

My second time down the Bargo River to Mermaid pool and the Tahmoor Gorge. 12.5klm for the loop down the gorge and back over the top. I did want to try and get down the gorge to the Nepean but I'll have to start earlier one day.

See Through Falls ?

Mermaids Pool

Looking back at Mermaids Pool as you follow the cliffs along the gorge.

Then down into the gorge and follow the river with many pools and falls.

Before climbing out and following the cliffs back

Magnificent walk and once again all to myself.
