Evening Walk

A short walk around to Cullendulla Nature Reserve at dusk.
The Golden Hour.

The first shot as is, the second with HDR turned on.

Punt Arm, Durras

Looking for a short walk I noticed on Google Maps a fire trail running down to Durras Lake. Being only 1.2klm each way I thought that would do me for a walk with the big bird lens.
Not many birds seen and no bird photos.

First view of the lake through the forest.

Once at the lake there was what seemed to be an old picnic area with built up areas and another track leading off along the lake.

Thinking that this track night get me through to South Durras I decided to extend the walk. The track went out to the point but after this disappeared.

I pushed on through the scrub and swamp until my way was blocked by a creekline filled with thick sword grass. I walked back through the forest to the old picnic area.

From here I found another trail that although overgrown in places took me through to South Durras.
A quick stop at the beach and then back through the streets and another fire trail to the car.
My short walk had turned into a respectable 7.2klms

If You Build It They Will Come

I had built a pond and put a birdbath in the garden.
In the dry the Rainbow Lorikeets have been using the birdbath and fighting over a spot and queueing along the fence waiting there turn.
Apparently Musk Lorikeets don't like fighting and went straight to the pond.

This is the first time I have seen parrots other than Rainbow Lorikeets since I moved to the South Coast

Since then more birds have been using the pond but I haven't had the camera ready. I will add more photos as they come to hand.
