Clyde Paddle

First paddle since moving down here. Launched from the boat ramp next to the bridge on the southern side and did a short loop around Budd Island.

Through the oyster leases in a mirror calm river.

So many Jellyfish. I just sat, mesmerised,  for ages. Like a graceful ballet, the jellyfish dancing in all directions and different depths.

The Clyde Bridge. A new bridge to be built soon and the old demolished.

Honeysuckle and Oakey Beach Walk

Honeysuckle Beach is an ocean beach at North Head, Batemans Bay in Murramarang National Park.
a walk over the black pebble beach and on the rocks as far as I could go, which was to just under the lookout at North Head.

Heading back I walked over the headland and on to Oakey Beach.

A nice morning walk of 5.4klm

Kangaroo River Trail

My knee had been playing up again so I was looking for an easy flat walk to give it a try out. Not as flat as I remembered, the 8klm return walk on the Kangaroo River Trail in Morton National Park seemed like a good option.

A pretty walk downhill from the Tallowa Dam Road brings you out opposite Beehive Point at the junction of the Kangaroo River and Yarrunga Creek

Hunter Sunset

A dinner with my daughter and her fiance in Newcastle. As always I couldn't resist a walk out to Nobbies. One of my favourite short walks and another nice sunset.

Such a pretty and vibrant city.

Durras Lake Trail

The Durras Lake Trail starts near North Durras and follows the northern edge of Durras Lake.
The trail ends back at the road in to North Durras where you turn around and walk back.

Following the creek down to the lake.

Serene lake views

Lovely spotted Gum forest

And some Glossy Black Cockatoos feeding in the Casuarina.

Out and back including the Discovery trail loop at the beginning/end about 11klm.
