Tamar Valley
Launceston is a nice city full of friendly people. Visited the Japanese Macaques in the town park.
Then off to Tamar Island wetlands.
Early afternoon in Narawntapu National Park. Wombats on the "lawn" at Springlawn Lagoon
Walked to Archer's Knob for views over the coast and Lagoon.
Bass Strait beaches.
Plenty of birds at the lagoon which is edged by melalueca swamp. The lagoon was very full coming out of winter. have seen photos when there is hardly any water.

Bay of Fires
Three days walking in the Bay of Fires, north east Tasmania.
Guided walk with "Life's an Adventure" where they set up camp and cater for you. Very well run and the food is superb. You just carry your day pack.
Walking about 12 klm a day through great scenery.
Some of the longer beach walks were a little tiring though.
Beautiful coves and inlets between the long beaches.
Pebble/boulder beaches.

Port Stephens
Saturdays trip to Port Stephens. Originally planned to walk across the dunes on Stockton beach to the Sygna wreck, but a big night out with my son left me searching for a shorter walk.
After a short drive down a 4WD section of road to Big Rocky just north of Samurai beach, we only had a 200 metre walk to the coast.
Spent 1 1/2 hours pottering around on the rocks and walking between Big and Little Rocky before returning to the Anna Bay pub for lunch.
After lunch we drove into Shoal Bay and walked up Tomaree. The first 2 photos look south to Zenith, Wreck and Box beaches and the Fingal Bay spit.
The last photo we look north to Yacaaba the northern headland at the entrance to Port Stephens.
